Closing entries

Hello,

I am trying to close the year and post the entries into the system but, when I create entries from 'Close income statement' it shows me multiple entries for individual GLs rather then one closing entry for the balance.

Can someone please help me with this?

In the Close Income Statement batch job, in the Post to Retained Earnings Acc. field select Balance, instead of Details:

I went through the article and found out that if I have GL setups with multiple dimensions then BC will post multiple closing entries.

Is there anyway to post only balance on balance entry and not all the entries with different dimensions?

I believe Valentin has the right answer and you need to set close by dimension to No.

I provided the answer below. Set the Post to Retained Earnings Acc. field to Balance, instead of Details. And don't select any dimensions. Exactly how I had it in the screenshot provided.
