Product name translation not showing in sales order. Intended?

So I have set up a translation from german to italian for an item as you can see on the following screen:

Now when creating a sales order with an italian customer, the product description gets translated. However the product name is not being translated. I would expect the product name to also be translated, right? Or is there some special setup I have to make? Or is this intended behaviour?

I would be thankful for help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Navo,

That is by design, you can enable the parameter of Include both name and description in the form setup of AR module, and it will display the translated name and description in the text field.

Thank you for your replay. Do you mean the field from my following screenshot?

Eventhough from my logical understanding, this wouldn't make sense, but I would give it a try. Do you know how I can activate it, since it's greyed out?

    Hi Navo,

Which legal entity are you using? Do you have customization on this area?

The two parameters of only use item name and Include both name and description should be conflicting. Currently, the text field display the translated name.

    Hi NaVo,

I think that the Product name on the Sales order line is always in the language of the Company (Legal entity). I guess the idea is that your users (who are the people that see the Sales order screen) are working in the Language of the company, and may not understand the Language of each Customer.

However, it is the Text field which prints on the documents which are visible to the Customer, which is why that field is in the Language of the Customer.
