RMS Global Vouchers cannot work with Database Compatibility 90 or 100 ???

RMS Version 2.0.0.150 - Feature Pack 1

Global Vouchers are functional but when retrieving data for Adding Money or Balance Check an error message pops up mentioning "Attempts to connect HQ failed"

Voucher Client generates an error asking to shift the Database to compatibility level 80, if that is done the add money and balance check features start working but in the balance check window there are no details and the reports in Store Operations Manager also don't display any data.

While adding money a reason code window appears when the amount is entered which asks for the reason code to be provided for customer discount type

Kindly provide support as I want my RMS Database to be functional at Compatibility Level 100 plus I want details of transactions to be available in the Balance Check window and also in the Reports, also the Reason Code Type should be Add Money and properly mapped with the system.

    Hasan,

If you were able to get Feature Pack 1, then you much be current with Microsoft Maintenance.  I would suggest opening a support incident with them as they were the ones who wrote the software, and this sounds like an issue with the way they wrote the SQL (which is embedded into RMS) is faulty.  They will likely need to make a change the program.

Alternatively, you may wish to go with a different gift card functionality.  Retail Realms makes a global voucher plug-in that has been around for years.  We also have a gift card solutions called RITE Gift that offers real-time card processing that you setup on your end, so there are no reoccurring fees!

Too bad they just didnt add in the proper functions that are needed for a POS instead of needing to pay for plugins to add features and functionality that most POS packages of the day have.

    Jason,

I agree with you.  I love RMS by and large, but we have found a number of things that MS took 90% of they way to completion, then dropped them.

On the flip side, it does give companies like us the ability to make something truly kick-butt for consumers.
