Hi,

I am getting "You have exceeded the maximum number of 200 characters in this field" this alert message while saving a field with more than 200 characters, actually the field is multi line string with 2000 length.

Please help me.

    Definitely 2000, not 200 by mistake... Ok I believe you. :)

    Is there another field that is being updated on-field-change or on-save of this record (e.g. via jscript) or maybe a business rule (on field change)?  e.g. are the contents of the field being concatenated into a (possibly hidden) primary field e.g. a field called 'Name' (which isn't uncommon)?  If that is the case you should truncate the data from the longer field.

    There is a Javascript for updating another field with that field data which is 200 character length.
