Hey,

What permission set allows the view of the table information link that is on the page inspection?  Tried a recording session and it would not give me the permissions needed for this :(

Thanks

    Hi,
an additional system right "ID 1350 Run table" is required to be able to call up the table directly.
You can also call up a table directly in the browser via /?table=ID number.
As the client opens a new tab, the Web Client Base URL must also be stored.

    Hi Trublu849,

Use the standard permission sets such as ‘Page Inspection’ and ‘Page Inspection – Objects’.
If you exclude these permissions from the user’s permission set, the user will not be able to inspect pages.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

The “View table” link in Page Inspection is controlled by Table Data permissions, not page or report permissions.

To see the table information and open the table:

    • The user must have Read permission on the underlying Table Data object e.g. Purchase Header – Table 38.
    • Permission sets like SUPER or D365 READ will allow this.
    • If using a custom permission set, it must include:
      • TableData <Table No.> = R

A permission recording session will not capture this, because Page Inspection is a system/developer feature and access to table metadata is not granted through normal UI interactions.

    Hello ,

There isn’t a “special” permission set you can grant via recording for this — the “View table” link in Page Inspection is controlled by developer/debug permissions, not normal functional permissions. To see that link, the user must have either SUPER or a combination that includes D365 DEBUG (and typically EXTENSION MGT / AL-related permissions). A recording won’t capture this because Page Inspection is a diagnostic/developer feature, not a user action. In practice, if someone can open Page Inspection but can’t click View table, they’re missing DEBUG-level permissions — granting SUPER immediately enables it.

    Oussama Sabbouh
