Restrict users from editing the currencies

Is there a security role which relates to being able to edit the currencies?

We had an incident recently where a new user accidentally renamed a currency rather than selecting a different one...

    There isn't a specific role for this. Try using the "Privileges Discovery" plugin for XrmToolbox - this will allow you to find which roles in your organisation give users this privilege. In ours, this is limited to:

    • CEO-Business Manager
    • Sales Manager
    • System Administrator
    • Vice President of Sales

    There is not a security role for currencies it is instead an option within all the security roles which you can find in Settings -> Security.

    You will need to update the security roles and change the Write option for the currency entity to None selected.

    please take a look below picture, by removing the edit privilege, user is not able to edit anymore.
