How to delete a transaction which was posted to a Vendor account in error?

    If you posted an invoice in error you can reverse it by opening the posted invoice list and cancelling it:
     
    If you posted a journal with that vendor included you can instead just reverse that transaction:
     
    Posted Purchase Invoices can also be deleted if you change a setting in your "Purchases & Payables Setup" page called "Allow Document Deletion Before":
     
    Entries in the general ledger and vendor subledger can't be deleted though, just reversed. It's highly recommended to not delete them even wtih the assistance of a developer.
