Filename invoice template

When I use a word-template for invoice, order or quote, the generated file I can download has the same file-name as the template does. Is there a way to let CRM take over the name of the entity as the file-name?

I now have to rename the files constantly

Quite an old post, but did you find a solution? A pitty that you can't define a filename format for document created through a template

Hello it appears to have been solved, after a fashion. When you create a file now the filename automatically gets suffixed with the date and a reference number. So the filename is something like

[The Name of Your Template] 02-05-2019 54-65-34.docx

Hi David,

somehow it only adds the date to my template and I'm missing the Reference Number. Do you know if there is a setting or so to check/change this?
