D365/Shopify Issue: Gen. Bus. Posting Group must have a value in Customer: No.=. It cannot be zero or empty.

Going through an issue at the moment where I can't get rid of this error after attempting to sync products to Shopify:

"Gen. Bus. Posting Group must have a value in Customer: No.=. It cannot be zero or empty."

Here is a screenshot of the error message:

Here's the thing though, I've created a Customer with the same "No.=." as the error states, and we've also connected it to a Gen. Bus. Posting Group - see below:

Screen-Shot-2022_2D00_07_2D00_14-at-9.13.25-AM.png - Customer Created with same Customer No. as error states

Screen-Shot-2022_2D00_07_2D00_14-at-9.05.32-AM.png - Customer Card - attached to a Gen. Bus. Posting Group

It's almost as if there is a 'hidden' customer that I can't see in our Customer List named EXACTLY the same, but does not have a Gen. Bus. Posting Group linked to it because I cannot see it to set it up properly...

Just wanted to shed some more light on this issue as it's been a nuisance to deal with, and I know I'm not the only one dealing with it!

    Hi Laeticia,

The Shopify Shop's Customer Template contains:

    Country/Region Code: CA

    Customer Template Code: CUST000001

Note: This Customer Template Code does NOT have a Gen. Bus. Posting Group assigned to it.

Default Customer No.: Same as Customer No. stated in the error message.

Are you suggesting that the Customer Template Code (CUST000001) must be assigned to a Gen. Bus. Posting Group?

    Thanks for your help,

    Curtis

    Hello Curtis,

To be able to help you, I will need more detail.

Could you please confirm the setup that you have in the Customer Synchronization tab from the Shopify Shop Card?

Also, could you please make sure that the Customer Templates selected in the Shopify Shop card are defined and contains Gen Bus Posting Group? This template is used not only for the creation of Customers but also for the creation of Sales Orders (Invoices) and for the creation of Items.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

    Kind regards,

    Laeticia Cunha
