Is there a way to use a .net version newer that 4.6.2.

I would like to use 6.0 but thee seems to be references in the SDK to older .et dll's.

I have the latest SDK but it gives the same error.

Error    BC30652    Reference required to assembly 'System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' containing the type 'ClientCredentials'. Add one to your project.

Am I correct in this.

    Hi,

As you have described, this is a compatibility issue between the new version and the old dotNet version, you can check the documentation at the link below to troubleshoot NET Framework errors.
Troubleshoot .NET Framework targeting errors - Visual Studio | Microsoft Learn

In addition, other official documentation also mentions that if you want to do Dynamics 365 plugin development, you still need to use dotNet 4.6.2 to create a Dynamics 365 plugin project.

The link to the documentation is as follows.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,
