Assembly Order Start Date and Ending Date

Hi:

I have an item using an "Assemble to Order" policy.

When I created a Sales Order for this item, I saw that the Start Date and Ending Dates for its Assembly Order are one day prior to my Work Date and therefore the Sales Order Date.

Without any lead times in place, why would this happen?

Thanks!

John

    Hi,

Can you please check the Lead time on Sales order?

I know in F&O they have option of scheduled backward which adds lead time of one day but I don't think its option in Business Central

    Thanks!
    Ramesh

    Hello,

It's how the system ensures the item is available before the sales shipment date, even without explicit lead times, which can set the Assembly Start and End Dates to one day before the Sales Order Date (Work Date) to account for same-day shipment logic and internal processing buffer.

The Assembly Order Start and Ending Dates appearing one day prior to your Work Date/Sales Order Date, even without explicit lead times, is due to Business Central's internal scheduling logic. It's how the system ensures the item is available before the sales shipment date, accounting for same-day shipment logic and an internal processing buffer.
