Sales order lot Reservation and wms picking

Does any one have any idea on how the reservation in sales orders and warehouse correlate?

This is my customer's issue.

SO is created for item A of 10 pcs.

Let's assume stock balance is 10pcs as well for discussion.

User releases the pick list to warehouse. Therefore, in this way, qty avail to pick is 0. However, reservation entry at SO is still blank as no picking has been done.

Another SO is then created and user tries to reserve the item batches via item tracking. The user is still able to select the batch as it shows available of 10 pcs. First SO did not select lot at all, therefore, requested qty is 0.

When user releases the new SO to pick list, it will then prompt nothing to handle as only after it releases to warehouse then will it detect the 0 available qty to pick.

Is there any possibility of linking up the qty avail to pick and the available qty at the item tracking screen?

My customer requires that the users cannot release to warehouse if the stock has already been assigned to a pick list and therefore resulting in nothing to handle.

Appreciate any help on wms.

It's a new module implementation for my team.

    Hello

So it looks like sometimes you may have reservation sometimes you may have lot selected, and sometimes, only document created.

Maybe the best would be for you to specifically select a lot (tracking page ) and then reserve it.

    Hope helpful
