We've noticed the daily Exchange Rate service from FloatRates does not give us rates on the weekends and holidays. This doesn't present a problem for day-today transactions as BC will always use the prior day rate. However, when we build Month end financial reports using Jet Reports or Power BI, we can't get a month-end rate if the last day of the month is on a weekend. Has anyone encountered this before and have a good work-around?

That's pretty common with all exchange rate services. You would simply use the exchange rate on the last working day of the month i.e. for August 2024 you would use August 30 rather than 31.

Hello Bob,

This is because you filter the exchange rate table on the reporting tool with the month-end date and no record was found in BC.

You could try filtering the exchange rate table with the current month and find last record instead.

Although it is not a perfect solution, you can customize a codeunit and set it in the job queue. If the day is a holiday, let the system automatically create the same exchange rate as the previous day.
