What is Microsoft's Backup and recovery plan for D365 Business Central

Hi All,

We have a customer that is asking us to provide documentation on the Backup and Recovery Processes that Microsoft have in place for D365 BC SaaS.

They need to prove to their management board that there is a robust process in place that protects and provides recovery for their business data before they will migrate to the cloud.

While I can find azure plans, with D365 BC we dont have access to the azure level admin!

Any guidance welcomed.

    You get message, so hope they do better

    Restore is not always possibel.

    They promise 30 daye retension, you should be able to restore 30 back in time, but, this not correct...

    They can only restore back in time, in the same version.

    So if ver 15.2 is release today, you cant get a restore for yesterday and go live as this is a version 15.1...,

    Just keep this in mind, And Andy...you have a job To do I hope

    Hello,

    Azure SQL automatically keeps backups of your data (geo-redundant) which we can restore going back up to 30 days (in a paid environment).  We always have previous version Applications Servers we would be able to roll you back to as well.  So if you just got updated we would be able to roll you back.  There would have to be other circumstances involved for us to not be able to restore you back to a previous version (I'm not sure what those would be though).
