New release BC v26.0 - is it available or not?

We are currently on version 25.3 (Cloud), and this is the first time our organization will be implementing a major upgrade.
Version 26.0, released in April 2025, still doesn't appear to be available. Is this correct? We are in Canada.

As far as I know the update has already started, you can upgrade to BC25.5 first and then try again.

PS: According to Microsoft, cross-version upgrades are now possible. However, this option is not available in my environment.

Hi @YUN ZHU

Is it mandatory to upgrade to the last version 25.5 before to install BC26.0?

We hope that we could go directly from BC25.3 to BC26.0 without install each minor version because the major version inclure (I think) anyway the minor them.

Also, is it possible that BC26.0 is not available for Canada at this moment?

Yes, Dynamics 365 Business Central version 26.0 (2025 Release Wave 1) was officially released in April 2025 and is currently being rolled out to existing customers, including those in Canada.

However, the update rollout is phased and can take several weeks to reach all environments. Microsoft typically notifies administrators via email when their environment is scheduled for an update. You can also check and manage your update schedule in the Business Central Admin Center.

If you're currently on version 25.3, it's recommended to first update to 25.5 before upgrading to 26.0, as some features introduced in 25.5 facilitate a smoother transition to the new version.
