Hello All,

I am facing the below error during Sales Order invoicing in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations:

Error:
Posting – An error occurred during update
Posting – Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

This issue is occurring in UAT environment (pu 45).

To investigate the issue, I restored the UAT database to DEV, but in the DEV environment (PU 43) the error is not reproducible and the invoice posts successfully.

Has anyone faced a similar issue?
Could this be related to platform version differences, configuration, or customizations?

Any guidance on how to trace the root cause would be appreciated.

There could be multiple reasons for that particular error message. Are you using any ISVs? Like for tax calculation or something?

Does this happen for all sales orders or only specific ones?

Are there customizations on Sales Invoice posting in your system?

Is the invoice posting happening via batch or manually?

It happens for all sales order

Yes we have customizations on Sales Invoicing Posting

Posting happens manually

How about ISVs? I feel like could be issue with the connection.
