Hi,
I am wondering the reports needed to reconcile the Revenue account?
Thanks
Deb

Deb, please clarify what you are trying to do. typically, people reconcile a receivable account, not a revenue account since revenue is a one direction account (meaning only transactions come into that account) while a receivable account is both debited and credited thus lending itself to being reconciled.
The AR transactions report can be used to show AR activity against a particular account. You can also use the detail general ledger. However, if you post AR to the GL in summary then the detail general ledger is only going to show activity down to the batch level.
I am running the Trial Balance (report 01610B.rpt) from the GL module to receive the Revenue account total for a specific period/month. Then cross referencing it to the AR transaction (report 08640.rpt) for the same period/month. I do see the same total on both reports. However the AR transaction report does not display Credit Memos or Debit Memos in the version I currently use (9.01 - 2015). I want to be sure these 2 reports will give me the accurate information, so that I do not mis-state the revenue received monthly.
Deb, not sure why you think the AR Transaction report does not show debit and credit memos. It shows all transaction types under the TN column. Are you, by any chance, using a template when you run the report and that template is excluding (or only including) certain transaction types. If you are using a template, click on the select tab after loading the template and see if it is applying some sort of filter.
Hi Rick,
This is what I am doing to receive the AR Transaction Report:
AR Transactions
Acct#Transtype (template) - plugging in the Revenue Acct number
Load Template
Report Tabe
Plugging in Report Date needed
Beg/End period (needed)
Results, are on IN in the TN Column
Deb, it sure sounds like the template you are loading filters to only certain transaction types. As I said in the previous response, load that template and click on the select tab to see what, if any, filters are being applies. If you see a line that includes trantype then that is your filter and it needs modification to include other types of documents. It may be as simple as deleting that line after loading the template so that you see all the transaction types.
Thank you! It was that simple as deleting the line trantype. Now I feel confident I am pulling the correct data.
