W1 to DK Upgrade

Hi all,

If we have a client currently on 2017 W1 On-Prem and we're moving him to BC v14 DK on-prem (to eventually go to SaaS), do you know if we can follow the normal upgrade procedure or will there be difficulties due to schema differences between W1 and DK?

Are there some steps we need to take in advance or on their current 2017 database?

Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

Unfortunately the upgrade tool does not handle differences between different localizations. On the good news, I think that Danish localization is not major, so there should not be major structural differences - the main one would be OIOUBL xml-tax reporting that would need to be set up. In Object Designer, filtering on version list @*DK* will show any localized objects, which in relations to tables is just one - table 13600 "OIOUBL Profile". For fields, you can add some columns to page 6218 "Field List", or make a new page based on the "Field" table, and filter on "No." = 13600..13699, and that will show you fields added in DK localization, so that's where the table structure differs DK vs W1. There are no tools that I am aware of to automate setting up the Danish parts of localization or upgrading them from W1. I hope this helps a little bit, and if others have actually tried this, that they can also advice,

Thanks Lars! Looks like the above approach works :)
