BC Admin center - how to prevent accidentally deleting production environment

Hi All,

In the admin center I could delete old sandboxes and recreate new ones. Now what's best way to accidentally deleting a production environment?  Does MS take overnight backups of all environments so we can log a support request to restore overnight backup? Another question is - if users are logged in does it allow you to delete an environment?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

The backups I can't answer unfortunately, however I do know if you try to delete the production environment, it asks you to type the word Production into a box, then reconfirm you want to delete.

It's not just as simple as hitting delete on a sandbox environment.

    Hello,

Backups are kept per Azure SQL regular backup policy.  You would normally need to open a ticket to get a Point-In-Time restore done if you needed it, but they just pushed this feature to the Admin center.  Once you're upgraded you should have access to it (17.3).

    Thanks,

Thanks guys this very helpful...as I read below:

"It's not possible to use the Business Central administration center to restore an environment that was previously deleted"

Even with 17.3 you need to contact support for restoring deleted environment

Thanks for pointing out that limitation, I had missed that!
