impersonate access to the portal

Is it possible to impersonate access to the portal. An external customer wants access to the portal. A contact for this customer is created. The customer saves the username and password on this contact. A CRM internal user (employee) should be able to log on the portal via the access of the external customer without changing customer password. It wants to see the data of the customer in the portal. How can this be implemented?

    Hi,

You can do this by assigning  proper web role and entity permision (Just like CRM security roles) to an your interanl User. But here your internal user will be stored in contact record because portal authentication will work on contact entity only.

Thanks for the Answer. Our use Case Looks as follows. We have Entity Permissions for portal content. Each customer/Contact sees other Content. With impersonate Access we want to ensure that the call centre staff see exactly what the customer is looking. It is possible with different access types (customer access, admin access)?

    Hi!

You can change the portal for different access types (for example customer access, admin access).
