Does anyone know what permission controls the ability to Reopen a closed opportunity?

Hi,
When you re-open the opportunity, it updates the state/status field so the permissions is update.

Unless you have custom code in the background the performs some additional actions, the only thing that you need as Ravi responded is the Update Entity permissions. Also make sure that you have the permission set to the appropriate depth for the security role. If the ownership of the record is in a different team/business unit, and you only have Business Unit update permissions your will not be able to reopen the case.
