Force to add item to the transaction in MS Retail Management System

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

Can I add an item for every whole transaction?

For example, a AG Item which its price $0.05 should be added to whole sold items, so that if I sell 7 items which their total price is $17.00, then the BAG item will be inserted and the total price will be 17.05.

    Thank you for your question.

There is not a way to automatically add an item to every transaction. As noted below, you can create an item and use a custom button to make it more visible to be added to every transactions manually, however.

    Thank you,

I think the confusion may be the original question you asked for every transaction Daniel right? If you have to scan it then it isn't every transaction. I believe the custom button associated with the .05 bag Antonijo and myself suggested would likely be best for you.

Look for the PDF document here and download the directions perhaps.

    I hope this helps.

If the item for .05 has a lookup code you could create a custom button perhaps to add it. Or if  you want the 0.05 item to always be associated and included with the other 7 items? Perhaps you can create a kit of 8 items. That way one lookup code =8 items every time. Use the help menu and lookup kits. I hope that helps Daniel.

What if the customer does not want a Bag?or have their own? I would just rather create an item and print a bar code and have the cashier scanning if need it.

    Hi mmmm.

If You mean automatically add this Item when tendering the transaction, yes, this could be done by a small development, that will be executed just before tendering. Even more, it can control if the Item is there in the transaction and can avoid adding more of it.

Contact your RMS Partner to do this for You, the development and the testing should be not more then 2 days of work. Or contact me, my company can do this for You...

Just as additional idea, why don´t You just simply add a Custom Button for adding this Item to a transaction and tell the cashiers to do it for each transaction??

    BR, A.
