BC add-in for outlook

Hi all,

The customer would like to have integration between BC and outlook, so that it could improve the efficiency.

When the BC add-in is installed in outlook, and open dialog, it shows all companies from the production environment, how can we switch it to the sandbox?

I didn't use 'Centralized deployment', I used 'Install the add-in for your own use'.

Thank you!
I have the same question (0)

You must have tried deploying the add-in from Sandbox only?
Am just thinking there should be a way to switch from outlook,  there's nothing on the BC add-in to switch?

    Hello,
You can’t switch the BC Outlook add-in from production to sandbox inside Outlook; the add-in is tied to the environment URL used when it was deployed, so if it shows production companies, it was installed from production. To use sandbox, open the sandbox environment in Business Central and deploy/install the add-in again from there; if you want both environments in Outlook, that needs separate add-in manifests.

    Hi all,

    Thank you for reply.

The XML file was downloaded from the sandbox, and I have checked the manifest shows the link of sandbox, not the production, however, when I open the outlook and BC add-in, it shows the company list from the production.

I was trying to remove the add-in and install it again, however, I'm not able to remove it.
I installed it via Install the add-in for your own use which is supposed not required an admin right.

    Hii there .
As per requirement you can install it from production.

And in Outlook do sign out from Outlook. And clear cache from Outlook.

As now you can do it from production again.

If you found answer. Please mark it answered.

    Thank you.

Hi, I'm not sure if the following method still works, but you can try it.

    Thanks.
