Hi,

I have created Transfer Order for two lines, when I click on release to warehouse button and check Transfer issue work then system is only adding pick location Defualt. Can you please suggest why system is not adding 'Put' location on transfer issue work. Important to mention that system is adding put location if transfer order have one line, I am facing this problem only if transfer order have two or more lines.

    Hi Zeeshan,

It is most likely that you do not have a Location directive with option "Multiple SKU = Yes".

     pastedimage1600405367807v1.png

    pastedimage1600405381816v2.png

Please check also the related documentation for setting up the Location directives:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/create-location-directive

For the "Multiple SKU" option you can see these details:

" Set this option to Yes to use multiple stock keeping units (SKUs) on a location. For example, this option must be set to Yes for the bay door.

If the Multiple SKU option is set to Yes, the put location will be specified in work (as expected). However, the put location will be able to handle multiple-item put only if the work includes different SKUs that must be picked and put, not if the work includes just a single SKU that must be put.

If the Multiple SKU option is set to No, the put location will be specified only if the put has only one type of SKU.

To use both approaches, you must specify two lines that have the same structure and setup, but set the Multiple SKU option to Yes for one of the lines and No for the other. In other words, two identical location directives are required for put operations, even though you don't have to distinguish between single and multiple SKUs in the work ID. You must also set a location directive up for pick, if you have an order that has more than one item.

Note: If you set the Multiple SKU option to Yes for a location directive of the Put work type, the system will always select the first location directive line, regardless of other restrictions that are created on the lines. "

    Regards,

    Lucian

    Hi Lucian,

Thank you for the details, SKU setting on location directives worked for me :).

    I have another question:

    pastedimage1600421724190v1.png

    pastedimage1600423143391v2.png

I am trying to short pick 1 quantity out of 3 but application is not letting me to move to next step with short quantity. Is it because I have not added reason for short quantity?

If Yes, then please let me know how can I add short pick reason in the system.

If No, then what can be the reason for this.

    Hi Zeeshan,

These blogs will give you all related details to setup/use Short pick (although written for AX2012, they are applicable for D365 too):
