Does this work? Seems to work if client was already configured, but trying to configure new client throws an error.

This is supported - one item that won't work in this scenario is any clients being able to go offline.

Yes, it appears I did not have a current rollup installed. With UR 16 I am able to configure 2011 Outlook client to connect to 2013 server.
