copilot not generating in Production Environment

Copilot AI summaries are working correctly in our UAT/Sandbox environment, but in Production they are not generating and show ‘AI summary unavailable.’ In Production, the required Power Platform integration/Dataverse connection options are not visible under System administration, so we are unable to enable them. Could you please confirm what additional setup or tenant-level provisioning is required to configure Dataverse and Power Platform integration for Copilot in a Production environment?

For the production environment, check via the Power Platform Admin Center if the Dynamics 365 apps are installed. If not, add them:

Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance

Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

FnOCopilot

Apart from that, some summaries do require the user to have a license assigned, e.g. the Dynamics 365 Finance SKU.

You can check these apps in the Apps section. If they are not installed, search for the app and install it using the Install App button. When you say summary is not generating can you please be specific about form?

In the vendor form on UAT/Sandbox, Copilot summaries are displayed correctly. However, in Production, the summaries are not appearing, and none of the pages in Production are showing Copilot-generated summaries.

It seems like you don't have access to the environments. Are you able to ask a system administrator to help you to get the requested information?

Hello,

Since Copilot summaries are working in UAT but not appearing anywhere in Production (including the Vendor form), the issue is most likely environment configuration related.

In Production, please check the following:

Go to Power Platform Admin Center → Production Environment → Apps and confirm that the required Copilot/Dynamics 365 apps are installed.

Ensure Dataverse is properly provisioned and linked to the Production environment.

Verify that users have the correct Dynamics 365 licenses assigned in Production.

Confirm you have sufficient admin permissions (Global Admin or Power Platform Admin) to view and manage these settings.

If Copilot is not visible on any page in Production, it usually means the Copilot components or environment integration are not fully configured at the tenant level. Involving your system administrator to compare UAT and Production settings should help identify the gap quickly.
