CRM SDK 2015 Plugin registration tool not working

Hello,

I've created a new account for a CRM Online trial and download the CRM SDK 2015.

I've written a plugin that i want to register using the plugin registration tool but when i'm connecting to my organization, it doesn't display anything and crashes when i click on reload organizations.

Has anyone had his issue and resolved it ?

I temporarily downloadrf an old version of the SDK (v 5.0) and i'm able to register my plugins but i cannot install the profiler ( Microsoft online trial version is CRM 2015 now so that's why).

    Nicolas,

The plugin profiler is known issue happened starting from CRM 2013.

To fix the issue you need to-recombine the Plugin profiler solution, maybe not a bestd solution but it can fix.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

That's the thing i don't have any error message its just blank although the connection to my organization has succeeded.

It only crashes when i click on reload organizations.

i tried to download SDK 6.1.1 but same thing happens (i.e. nothing is shown)

    Aileen,

I can't install the profiler with the old version the SDK due to the fact that my organization in CRM 2015 and this version of the SDK is/was meant for CRM 2011 (and 2013 ?)

    Nicolas,

Just follow the step to combine the solution.

I will try to update the blog solution for CRM 2015.

In the mean time, can you try to import the pluginprofiler solution manually to the CRM system?

    Aileen,

unfortunately i can't import as i get the same error message :

You can only import solutions with a package version of 7.0 or earlier into this organization. Also, you can't import any solutions into this organization that were exported from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 or earlier.

The solution to this is explained in this post :

    community.dynamics.com/.../146808.aspx

But i am back to my main problem, I don't see anything when i connect to my organization using SDK 2013 or 2015.

    Thank you for your help.

    Nicolas,

    Try using CRM 2015 SDK

    D:\Installer\CRM 2015\SDK\SDK\Tools\PluginRegistration

    PluginProfiler.solution

    And import it?

    Aileen,

Importing the profiler solution of the SDK 2015 into my organization worked and i can use the old SDK for CRM 2011 to debug my plugins.

I have yet to find out why it won't stop at my breakpoint when i try to debug my plugin maybe i missed something but i think i doesnt come from the fact that i used that version of the SDK to debug a plugin in CRM 2015.

For now every time i uninstall the profiler i have to re-import the solution into my organization to debug my plugins. Hopefully i'll find a solution as to why the tool doesnt work properly in my SDK 2013 and 2015.

    Thanks again for your help.

Hi Nicholas, CRM 2015 now allows for .NET 4.5.2, have you tried setting the plugin in this version and do you have this version installed where you are running the registration tool?

By setting you mean the target framework in the properties of my project ?

If so yes i've set it to 4.5.2.

As for you other advice i didn't quite understand what you meant by that.
