We're trying to test upgrade a GP2010 installation (running the 2014 YE update) to GP2015 and are getting the following messages in duinstall.log:
Failure encountered ON 1/13/2015 at 3:36:45 PM. Error: Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 11.0.2351.
Failure encountered ON 1/13/2015 at 3:36:45 PM. Error: Product 309 does not support upgrading from version 11.0.2353.
Usually this indicates that we will need a patch for GP2015 before the upgrade to continue.
Has anyone figured out a workaround for this?

Thanks for the update Steven.
Looks like Jan 2015 patch will not work.

When the applicable patch is released, the procedure for those who are running GP2010 / GP2013 under SQL Server 2008r2 SP2 or SP3 will have to:
1.) Apply patch
2.) Run GP Utilities
3.) Upgrade to SQL 2012 or 2014 (Required SQL ver at least 11.0 social.technet.microsoft.com/.../783.sql-server-versions.aspx )
4.) Install GP2015
5.) Run GP Utilities
Here's what I got from Derek Albaugh at Microsoft
Hello Steven,
You won't be able to upgrade from 11.00.2390 for Dynamics GP 2010 to Dynamics GP 2015 until the Jan/Feb release of Dynamics GP 2015 is available, then you can upgrade to this next release.
As it stands now, Dynamics GP 2010 from version 11.00.2248 through 11.00.2320 and Dynamics GP 2013 versions 12.00.1482 through 12.00.1745, is the only versions that can upgrade to Dynamics GP 2015 currently.
This is also in the 'Upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015' hot topic as well:
Thanks,
We are already at GP 2013 R2 and getting the same error. Actually, we are also getting the same type of errors for products 414, 1911, 4522, 4933, and 4955.
Unfortunately I guess you'll have to wait another round (3 ?) to fix this, or go first to 2013R2 as an intermediate solution...
Unfortunately, the January hotfix only fixed the fixed assets error. I'm now getting
Error: Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 11.0.2390.
Has anyone had any luck upgrading from GP2010 (.2390) to GP2015?
Looks like waqas has the right idea, thanks for the link redbeard.
From his site:
The upgrade path from GP 2010 SP4 appears to support going straight to GP 2015 RTM build 0524. Are you sure that is the version you are trying to upgrade to?
waqasb.blogspot.com/.../dynamics-gp-2015-upgrade-process-paths.html
You know that suggests that the Dynamics dictionary and the Fixed Asset Dictionary are the ones that are giving you a hard time.
When you installed the GP2015 code, did you make any changes to the default settings?
Did you have to change anything to match your 'current' TEST environment that is maybe different than your Production system?
Just a bit more information might provide the clue to solving the problem.
