Hi,
Currently, when creating a new Case, the Status Reason defaults to: In Progress
I need for it to default to a newly created Status Reason: New
How can this be achieved.

navigate to customization window in your solution Entity->case ->Fileds->status Reason ->open the field-> in the bottom of the form you will get the default value
