vendor creates by anonymous person

A person who creates a vendor denies that he did not create a vendor in MS-Dynamic GP2010. Therefore I would to know that is there any way to know who creates a vendor in MS Dynamic Gp 2010? apart from a responsible person..

Thanks

    Khawaja,

I guess it its not possible to track the created user in standard cards(Item,Vendor,Customer). since its corresponding card's table dint have "Created user" field. Only "Created date" is available in the respective cards.

If you enabled Activity Tracking, then you can track the created user or by custom audit  report development may help to trace the created user.

Natraj is correct. There is no option available for track the created users information for master records such as Vendor, Item & Customer. You can use Activity Tracking or create any vendor audit customization to identify the created & modified users details for vendor master records.

    Hope this helps!!!

In order to prevent Anonymous users from creating Vendor records, you should restrict access to the Vendor Card in Dynamics GP.  While it is convenient for smaller organizations to enjoy unfettered access to Dynamics GP, it is a really good idea to separate duties in some portions of the system.  If any user can create/edit vendor information, fraud could be a real problem.
