How to create our own managed solution

Hello Everyone,

Recently I have come across a blog which just caught my attention. I posting the URL of the blog. https://mahadeomatre.blogspot.in/2015/05/convert-fetchxml-to-sql-query.html

In the above blog, the person has created his own solution which he imported into the CRM instance and it was performing a FetchXml to SQL conversion.

I am very curious to know the procedure on how to create our own managed solution which we can import into our instance and we can perform our tiny little tasks. Can anyone help me out with some pointers ?

Thanks

    Hello Sravan,

In dev instance you need to create one unmanaged solution and do your sample working stuff there.

after you done that try to export that solution as managed.

in dev instance are never created.

    Hi EmployeeOcta ,

Thank you for the quick response. In the link which i mentioned, I wanted to know, how did the user create his tool. The  user interface and all which collectively got deployed as a managed solution.

    Thank you

    Hi Sravan,

I think you want to create your own managed solution that will do some specific task.

You can achieve it as follow:

    1. Create a Webresource (I created a HTML Webresource).

    2. Design and make it  work as you want.

    3. Create a solution and add webresource (created in step1) as "Configuration Page".

    4. Export solution as managed solution.

    5. Import it in any other org and look if its working.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks
