Question regarding tracking

Goodday,

We have Dynamics CRM 365 On-Premise 8.2.0.749 and use the CRM addon for Outlook (not the newer, lightweight CRM app for outlook)

When we track an email in Outlook using 'set regarding', for example to a Case record, the email is often/always also tracked to the contact (if the emailadress of the sender/recipient is known on a Contact record in CRM)

Can we switch that off? We manually decide where the email should be tracked to and it's not necessary to keep the same email in various records in CRM.

Regarding tracking settings:

Smart matching is off

Tracking tokens are on
