Warehouse consignment management

Hi,

My company is not using exact consignment management for warehouse,( item expiry,lot ). they are using normal distribution based on the valuation method is 'average perpetual'.we are in food business and our consignment technology is inventory 'Transfer' to our outlet. now i want to Purchase and issue the item by expiry and delivery by lot etc. Kindly advice me what is the steps/Article for implementation(Manual and Barcode) and if i am changing the valuation method from average perpetual to 'FIFO' method how it will affect the old item. Thanks

    Start by going to the option window of a test item and mark the tracking to be by lot tracking, go and create a transfer and see the system will interact with your modification, this will be a good start to understand how to proceed.

    Thanks Mahmoud,

    I went to the tracking option for the “new” item its working fine. But for the old item I couldn’t able to enable the “tracking” option to select the “Lot Number”. How can I enable this option for the old items and advice me what all are the steps to implement consignment management.

    Before being able to modify tracking options for the item, you need to make sure that there is no open transactions unposted and quantity of the item on all sites is zero.

    Refeesh,

    Refer to the printable manuals (Inventory Control document) on how to setup tracking options for inventory starting from page number 52.
