Create Sales Quote with Blocked Items

Recently we have blocked some items and want to create a Sales quote with those blocked items.

May I know how it will work?

Hi,

I dont think system will allow you do that, because blocking functionality works everywhere in the system, if you select Item, you need to consult with your Development team to achieve that.

Hi CCAUS,

In Base system once you blocked item user can't use item for transactions. I suggest for Sales Quote you can use Non - Inventory items else ask your development Partner to do customization as per your requirement.

It can be achievable with a customization using the OnBeforeTestStatusOpen event.

Why block them if you want to use them after all?

If it is an item you do not have in stock the catalogue items is a better option i think.

Hi, Please don't try this weird customization.

I think you can unblock the items first, then use them, and then disable them after use. This is also in line with the process.
Perhaps an application form outside the system is required for both opening and disabling.
