Dear Experts:

Greetings!

I tried to post a general journal in Dynamics nav 2017, but i got the following error:

"multiple debit and credit ibu entry is not possible"

What does this error mean?

This does not look as a message from the base application. Do you have any customization done to your system?

Maybe this message comes from one of your add-ons ? If so you should reach out to the developers of your customization.

I will explain my case:

I my journal templates (Gen. Journal) when i enter multiple lines such that suppose two lines sum up with zero (credit + debit) the following lines series no. increases automatically, which i do not want. (how to fix the no series even the previous journal lines form a complete journal (sum zero),

The message comes when i change the no. of lines to one series no. such that Debit and credit parties are in different store codes.

If i keep it as it is (increasing) the posting is ok.

Hi,

Please consult with a developer who can debug it for you, so that you can understand why this error is raising. It seems that some customization has been in past.

When you selected the journal, you can see the columns of series from previous an register, you can change them if you want

It is due to customization in your system. So you should contact your developer.

Base NAV wants to you to balance to zero by posting date and document number. This can be changed in journal template setup.
