Dear Team,

Purchase order Workflow is enabled now. it is working as expected.

Customer is seeking another scenario . once PO approval triggered to get approver from approver. which should trigger every one hour until approved by request approver.

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Ashok,

Do you mean there should be an alert to the approver every hour till he/she approves ?

A PO approval request sent every hour would seem a little out of proportion to me.

If PO approvals cannot wait for more that 1 hour, then I would consider reassigning the workflow items to other approvers instead, as  the approver might be inable to approve that quickly.

You can check this thread which discusses a similar issue and how to use escalation paths trying to solve it:

Note that this thread does not utilize power automate, but it also seems like the hourly approval request from Power Automate, is not adressing the core issue, but instead will just be spamming workers.

I would advice you to reconsider your approach to this issue.

This seems like a business requirement that was done without checking with the email admin. You can end-up in a situation where the approver goes on holiday for an extended period of time and this process will end up spamming thousands of emails. For this reason there are usually limitation of email sent i.e. out of office reply sent only once in order to avoid feedback loops.

You should consider instead multiple approvers scenario that will allow for speeding up the approval process without potentially breaking the emailing server.
