Dear Experts,
I would like to ask you about permission.
We will allow user to create/edit item card including assigning BOM (they can only select BOM no. in item card).
We don't want them to access to BOM page/table.
When I add them INVT-ITEM/BOM only and remove INVT-ITEM/BOM, Edit, they still can access to BOM table.
For permission to get access item card with selecting BOM no. and not able to access BOM table, which standard permission I have to use or what customize permission set I have to create?
Thank You.
Regards,
Sweety.
Hi, I think you could try restricting the execute permission of the page, not the read permission of the table.
You cannot do what you are describing. You are asking for them to select a record from a table, but you are not going to give them access to see the table. Therefore it is not possible.
If you are trying to restrict their ability to see the BOM Lines, you could create a similar permission, but remove visibility to the BOM Lines table. I'm not 100% sure this would work, but it is worth a shot.
Most BOM Numbers match the Item it is attached to. In this case, the User may be able to simply copy and paste the Item No to the BOM No. field. Again, I'm not sure that will work, but potentially another option if you fall into this category.
