Customer Invoice - Different items same GL Account

Hi I have to create and invoice with3 different items, but all go to the same Gl Account. once I created the invoice, the GL is all in one line for the 3 items. How could I get the tree line in the GL? I need to see in the GL all the transaction by item.

Hi

I think in your invoice you can change Posting Group of items. If you have a posting group that has the setup you need (or you can create one) this way after changing posting group all those lines post in G/L that you needed as a standalone line for each item.

Why would you want to see the 3 lines in the GL?

Rather than different posting groups as MAHGAH suggests, If you absolutely need this information in the GL, then setup an Item No dimension. The values for this dimension should equal your item numbers. Be sure to default an Item No dimension on each item. Also, require your Item No dimension on your sales accounts. This will force 3 lines to be created in the general ledger, one for each item no dimension.

Hi, As suggested by the two experts above, you can set up different posting groups for different items, and then post them to different accounts in General Posting Setup.

Thank you.. I need the information in the GL because is a Balance Account is not a expenses. or income.. so the dimension doesn't affect . Thank you for your help. I figure it out with the Posting Groups.
