Invoice Disc. Code automatically populating

Hello,
 
I imported a number of customers via a configuration package. However, on checking the results it seems that teh "Invoice Disc. Code" has been automatically populated with the customer number. There was no Invoice discount code imported on the configuration package. Any ideas how this could have happened? Thank you.

    This field will automatically populate when you create a new customer. The predefined value is the same as customer no.
    You can change that later, but that field cannot be blank.
    You don't need to worry if it is populated because you will not generate any discount for that customer if you do not populate discount amounts/percentages in your order. Also, you will need to set up appropriate postings setups for discount postings.
     
    While working with the configuration packages, you can choose which field you want to validate. But, since Invoice Disc. Code is onValidate trigger of No. (customer unique no) you cannot avoid to populate that field.
     
    You will have more fields that are populated after you validate your configuration package, but those fields are predefined and for some of them you can change their values, and delete them, but for some fields, you will need to have some value inserted.

    Hi, Is it related to Customer Template? I create a new customer and this field is empty.

    I have tested your answers and i see it happens when a new customer is created. I have never noticed this before.
