Hide products displayed on sales order line creation

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is any out-of-the-box way to hide (or show) products that are displayed to users when they are creating a sales order line on D365FO.

I was specially interested to see if it is possible for items to be displayed according to the customer we are selling to.

Is it something that could be achieved by categories? Has assortments anything to do with this? I have tried assortments but could not make it work, maybe it is for a different function.

Thanks in advance for your time.

    Hi Nick,

as Will wrote it is not OOB.

One Feature which goes this direction is to user Customer Specific Item list.

Item lists can be build manually for all Customers or specific Customers, or automatically based on what a customer has bought in a specific period before. The lsit can also be updated periodically by batch.

Furthermore you can set a parameter to present the customer specific item list when ever a Sales oder is created.

    Item list for Customer:

Opening a new sales order presents customer item list:

Item list can also be called within a sales order (if not prompted at the start of sales order) to insert items from the item list.

The parameter for prompt of item list is at AR parameters

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Nick Holden,

There is no such OOB function. You have to do some customization. You can add your conditions to the corresponding query.
