Assembly order pick list

Hi Community,

I have a location with bin mandatory + require pick + require put-away

I also have some assemble to order items consisting of BOMs with child items.

My challenge is that the inventory pick that gets generated only lists the line item as put on a sales order, not the child items that needs to be picked in the inventory. How can I get a pick list showing what actually should be picked?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Why You Need To Pick the Child Item?

Because the Child Item Will Be Consumed While you Post The Assembly Order.

    Thanks for reply!

I appreciate that it gets correct from consumption point of view as is.

But in order to deliver against the sales order containing assembly to order items, someone (a physical human) needs to pick on child level from Bins containing child level items. Therefore a pick list on child level with child level bin information is needed. Without that, how can we ensure correct pick?

I wonder if I am missing something very fundamental regarding what assembly to order can be used for...(?)

    Thoughts?

When dealing with Assembly to Order Items and Picks, the component Pick process is supposed to be handled by an Inventory Movement.  Here is a link that describes the scenario and process/setup:

We added a designated assembly bin, and on the location card, adjusted the assembly bins setting.

Now the delivery personell need to open the assembly order and kick off the inventory movement from there to be able to proceed.
