Dynamics GP 2016 R2 work with SQL Server Web 2016?

I know officially Microsoft says Dynamics GP 2016 R2 works on SQL Server 2016 Enterprise, Standard, and Express.   But does anyone know if the application will run on SQL Server 2016 Web?  The Web version appears to have everything I would need for my smallish environment.  But my installation vendor is refusing to work with it because its not officially called out by Microsoft.

Can anyone confirm if SQL Server 2016 Web will in fact work with Dynamics GP 2016 R2?

The reason SQL WEB is not mention in Dynamics GP, is that it doesn't meet the legal license purpose of SQL 2016 WEB.

The WEB version is defined as:

SQL Server Web edition is a low total-cost-of-ownership option for Web hosters and Web VAPs to provide scalability, affordability, and manageability capabilities for small to large scale Web properties.

This is NOT what Dynamics GP is. It is not a for web hosting and Dynamics is not a VAP (Value Added Provider)

I know the is not what you are wanting, but it is the legal reason.
