Security Roles restriction while trying to import unmanaged solution

Hi Experts,

I am trying to import one of the solutions from the E-Learning resources - 80729- Customisation and Configuration. I am getting the following error;

'User cannot add privileges to or change access level for roles to which they are assigned. For help with changing a role, contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator'.

I googled it and came across one solution asking to change to security roles to Core record of Data performance dashboard to organisation level. I did that. Still it is not working.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Hi Tashi,

I tried the same solution on my trial [V9] and it failed with the same message. As mentioned above I don't think this solution is for Version 9.

If you are trying to install it for learning purpose then you need to use the Dynamics 365 2016 version.

If you jist created a trial instance then it would be version 9. I am not sure if this sol is compatible with v9 i will try at my end

it is CRM 2016. I just created a trial instance and was trying to import the solution- NPDandFeedback_1_4_0_1

Alo just noticed that you are trying for CRM 2016 solution. Whats your current CRM version?

I have access to DLP. Could you please confirm which solution you are importing? May be a screenshot help.

This is the error code - The privilege prvDeleteCustomControl with id = 0b1abb20-a651-4e31-ad4b-10b1b7279c16 can't have depth = Basic, CallerId = 868bad07-fd16-431e-96c3-0c9f6880c582, RoleId = caaec25a-5484-e511-80d5-3863bb3c0790

I am trying to import some Xml file and other folders. This is a solution sample from the partnersource E-Learning on Customisation and configuration. Is there a way that i can upload the solution here?
