I have assigned with Global Administrator Role as well but still i am getting an error there also.
i am getting an alert message as below.
"The Email Message 'Your mailbox is now connected to Dynamics 365 'cannot be sent. Make sure that the credentials specified in the mailbox <mailbox name> are correct and have sufficient permissions for sending email. Then, enable the mailbox for email processing ".
even i have manually added the credentials in the mailbox .
i have already configured the email in my outlook as well and i am able to send email from there as well .
but what could be the reason that i am unable to do this.

You wont be able to approve emails with Service Administrator account, you will have to use Global Admin role to approve an email, please see below

1. What do you mean by custom role? You created a new System Admin Role? If yes, how did you create it?
2. what is the error you have?
