RMS v2 + Hotfix 40 / Force HQ Client to poll every hour

Hi folks,

Currently, our stores only upload data every 6 hours, we control the timing from HQ.

However, from time to time, we create worksheets on the fly to push promotions, specials, etc. and store staff has to manually poll such worksheets since HQ Client will poll automatically hours after that.

Is there a way to force HQ Client to poll every hour without creating a corresponding 401 worksheet?

If we set stores to poll every hour, HQ forces a 401 to be created.

All I want is HQ Client to check with HQ Server if there are any worksheets pending.

Possible?

Please advise.

    In HQ Manager, set File - Maintenance Mode.

    then Admin - Stores - (select store) - Properties - Connection Schedule.

    schedule can be modified to specify which hour of each day to check for pending worksheets.

    auto-generated 401 worksheets will also create the next instance based on this schedule.

    Checking for other pending worksheets can be done more frequently than the schedule by

    a user at the store manually connecting the hq-client, but the automatic way is with the schedule.

    Hi Matt, yes, I cannot find a way around it, I tried changing the ScheduleMask at the table level and also on the registry, but HQClient always overwrites such settings based on the schedule from HQ :(

    Yes, the automatic schedule is controlled by HQ, but any event that you want to push sooner than that,

    just email the store and ask them to right-click the hq-client icon and click Connect, or open and hit F5.

    The data upload (401) is always generated.
