Sales Quote approval issue - need to approve twice

Hi,

I have configured some workflows for sales quotes which overall work absolutely fine. One strange issue I have with it though is that the user who is approving the SQ has to approve it twice before it is released. They don't receive 2 notifications for this, it is simply that when they approve the document, they then need to approve it again before it is released.

I've checked through the workflow step instances and can see the approval entry twice but can't see any reason why?

    Did you alter the template workflow or create your own? The template one does not do this. Are you using a workflow group with that user featured twice? Not sure that’s a possibility but to rule it out.

    Hi, no Workflows groups assigned. I used a template and the only things I changed was set it to specific approver for a specific customer.

    Workflow step instance picture - is that filtered to one workflow? Are two firing.

    It should be just the one Workflow showing as I went into the list from within the work flow itself.

    Gary,

    In your Sales Quote Workflow, in the first step, have you setup the Response, for the Create an Approval step, is your Options setup:

    My test only send 1 email request, not twice. Note that my second approver has another Approval User as substitute, when they are not available and not back to Approver 1.

    Thanks for the reply. The issue is not that it sends two emails, the issue is that the invoice needs to be approved twice before being released.

    Gary,

    Very strange. I am not getting this in my Cronus sandbox. Can you recreate in Cronus Sandbox? If you cannot then this leans me towards somethings has changed base code. See if you can recreate and if not, maybe connect with your Partner to debug or submit a Microsoft support ticket to assist.
