CRM 2013 E-mail configuration not working

Hello,

I am trying to configure an e-mail profile in CRM 2013 and I'm kinda stuck.

I have to use a POP3 without SSL connection.

I tried both the e-mail router and the server-side sync and I'm stuck with both, the reason being the fact that I cannot enable the "Allow to use credentials for e-mail processing" checkbox. (for the e-mail router I checked the box with "allow other users to send email on my behalf", but I keep getting the "The Email Router service configuration parameter "EmailUser" is missing. " error. The server side sync tells me that the credentials are not correct, but it doesn't give me any option to add them)

On the user's personal option, the field doesn't appear. On the mailbox record, the field is greyed out.

I added the registry entry called "DisableSecureDecryptionKey" (value 1) which worked on CRM 2011 but now I doesn't do the trick anymore. (I executed iisreset twice after adding the registry entry. For the mailbox I even updated the "allowemailconnectortousecredentials" field in the db to 1, just to see if this would enable the checkbox, but again no luck.)

Any ideas?

    Please check your configuration is based as guided on below link:

    To tackle error " The Email Router service configuration parameter "EmailUser"  " you must have to have enable " Allow Email router to use my credentials to send and receive email on my behalf " for this follow below steps:

    1) Start the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client.

    2) Click Tools, and then click Options.

    3) On the Email tab, click to select the Allow Email router to use my credentials to send and receive email on my behalf check box.

    4) Type the user name and the password.

    5) Click OK.

    Now I can't send emai..  l use server-side sync, I config  all and I don't know what is problem. how are you?

    Hi Mary,

    Thanks for posting the solution.

    Make sure that your Async process is still started. I tested what was suggested on the page you posted and now my Async process stops, restarts and fails again. My e-mails are not sent and I searched for this behaviour and it seems that this happens when there is a problem with the msconfig database (exactly what we modified).

    So I think I'll revert the settings and look for some other solutions.

    I apply the changes suggested in the link which Mary posts and all is working ok, but i cant recibe the emails as activities, i can send but not create the mails which i recive as tasks.

    Can you paste the screenshot of the Email Configuration profile and the error messages coming while clicking on "test and enable mail box" ?
