Report - Salesperson Sales Statistics

Good day,

I'm looking at the attached report and I have a couple of questions. I checked the values from the Customer Ledger Entries as per a date range and the Sales(LCY) per codes are correct.
1. There's a difference between Profit(LCY) and Adjusted Profit(LCY), how is this profit calculated?
2. Why will there be a difference?

I'm interested in recommending this for the Sales Managers.

Regards

Rosemary

    Hello Rosemary,

    Ultra-short:

Profit (LCY) = Sales − initial cost at invoice posting

Adjusted Profit (LCY) = Sales − final cost after cost adjustments

    Why different?

Costs updated later (AVCO/FIFO, late purchase invoices, item charges, revaluation)

BC adjusts COGS after posting → profit changes

    Recommendation:
Use Adjusted Profit for Sales Managers (it’s the real margin).

    Regards,

Below is the calculation method for the standard code, which hopefully will give you some hints.
