Update dimensions on old invovices from another ERP

We have now discovered in BC that we missed assigning dimensions to invoices from our old system that we imported into BC during the Go-live.

I tried to use Correct Dimensions from the General Ledger Entries, but it doesn’t work. I have also started getting errors in the Job Queue Entries.

Is it possible to correct this afterwards? How can I do it?

I have the same question (0)

I'm not a fan of the correct dimensions function, primarily as it only updates the G/L entries, which would mean that you have a mismatch between the dimensions on the invoices and the dimensions in the G/L.

If you know the the overall dimension values are and need to be you can simply process correcting G/L journals.

    Hello,
Yes  you can still correct dimensions after posting using Correct Dimensions on G/L Entries. BC doesn’t change the original entry; it creates a Dimension Correction batch that runs through the Job Queue and posts adjustment entries. Your error usually means some selected entries aren’t eligible for correction (e.g., applied/closed entries, inventory/value entries, blocked dimensions, or linked entries from imports). Check Dimension Corrections and Job Queue Log Entries to see which entry fails validation. If BC refuses the correction, the fallback is to post a reclassification or reversal journal with the correct dimensions.

Unfortunately, this can only be achieved through customization. The "correct dimensions" feature only affects G/L Entries.

    Thanks.
