Dynamics 365 tile missing from 0365 Launcher

Posted on by 71

Hi All,

Over night we have 'lost' the Dynamic 365 app icon from O365 Launcher.

It has been replaced by one that say CRM and has the blue D but this takes users with access to power platform solutions area.

Users can access Dynamics 365 by going to the all apps > explore all your apps > business apps  and accessing their specific apps.

This same issue happened to all of our users in our environment recently, very odd.

The Dynamics 365 native app and any other custom Dynamics related apps that appeared for users in the O365 app launcher and All apps section are just gone. We had to create a custom app in Azure called Dynamics 365 and direct it to our Dynamics home page so that will at least show up for the users who use the app to access it. I've tried the recommendations of this thread but they haven't helped.

I also created a support ticket with Microsoft which didn't go anywhere. They didn't have an explanation why the apps disappeared and recommended to go the URL way and set it as Solved. I wasn't sure if this was just us or something official from Microsoft that changed which removed them.

If I should create a new thread for this let me know.

    Hello Andreas.

    1. if you click on "all apps" you're goin to be taken to a page that shows all apps:

This is also available on the Office Apps page that you have:

Once you're on All Apps, if you scroll to the bottom, you should be able to see all Business Applications, including the Dynamics and PowerApps environments. You're going ot recognize them due to the colour.

If you're missing a tile that takes you specifically to your environment, you can create a custom one:
Add custom tiles to the app launcher - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

    Hi!

you might try to sync the apps, make.preview.powerapps.com/RefreshApps  if that does not work my suggestion is to raise a support ticket.

    thank you!

There is no "Business Apps" register, i am confused. This is that my office.com looks like

I got access to the trials by using the direkt links i get from Power Platform admin center.

Any updates on that? Is this still a bug? I registered a trial, can access it by url/enviroment via admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com but i i visit office.com there is no register business apps or an icon for dynamics 365 in the sidebar.

My user is an admin, i got the "Sales professionall access app" role....cleared cache and so on....what do to? home.dynamics.com shows error "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

    Hello Vness.

On or after April 1, 2021, users will no longer be able to navigate to https://home.dynamics.com from the Office 365 applications list or the Office 365 application launcher.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/quickly-navigate-office-365-app-launcher#your-business-apps-have-moved

Nevertheless the reported behavior is being analyzed by MS in order to improve customer experience as non admin users cannot access M365 Admin center, but they should be able to access D365 environments section in order to create a trial for example.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
